During the development process we involved both the shore side and the vessel side to find the governing idea. The governing idea is about revealing the common information and needs, and put it into a user friendly platform for both ship and shore.

Why did we start at the vessel end?
We have found out by gathering the information at the vessel side we ends up with the most correct information.
Vessel nowadays is a complex business involving personnel from various companies and locations, and to secure correct information it needs to be gathered or checked when each individual entering the vessel. At a port state inspection, the inspector will detain the vessel from sailing in respective to lack of certifications, regardless of who is responsible for the person.
We did realize that many of the subcontractor’s personnel had not been pre-checked prior to embarking the vessel. It is a hectic business and many of the individual’s pre announced to embark the vessel was changed out in the last minute. By gathering or checking the information when individuals physically embarking, you can be secure the information is correct.
