Captains Secretary 2.0 released!
It is a pleasure for us at Shipadmin to announce the release of Captains Secretary 2.0. We would like to use this opportunity to thank all the users for the valuable input received during the process.
Most of the features in Captains Secretary (CS) 2.0 have been developed in as a result of enquiries from you - our users - in accordance with our strategy.
Main upgrades include:
Lloyds Ports and Terminal is integrated in the system. You may now view useful information for more than 5.700 ports in 199 countries around the world *
New Vessel Certificate module
New and more user friendly design
The menu structure in Captains Secretary has been altered. Some of the headings have been removed while others have been added:
- The menu items under a heading are now ordered alphabetically.
- The "Personnel" menu now contains most issues related to personnel.
- The heading "Crew History" has been removed. This functionality is now to be found through "Meals and accommodation" in the "Personnel" menu.
- The "Admin" menu has been renamed to "Settings".
- The User Manual and support information is now available under the "Help" menu.
New features added to the "Personnel register" module. This includes:
- Next of Kin 2
- Passport 2
- Seaman's book 2
- Category "Visitor" has been added
- "Misc" text field for miscellaneous information
- Shortcuts to save new company, position and relationship without leaving your personnel registration
- Passport and Seaman's Book are automatically added as personnel certificates
"Boarding Status" now includes a profile picture, along with increased functionality.
A step-by-step wizard to register your vessel's certificates is implemented, and has the feature of printing out a record showing the current status for all certificates
Safety Induction, see at a glance who are missing or in need of renewing the induction at the "Embark / Disembark" page.
New calendar provides an easier and faster way of selecting dates.
*Due to the large upgrade including the Ports & Terminals database, we cannot install the module remotely. We will ship an installation CD with instructions to each subscriber, unless we have made other agreements with your company.
